Season’s Opening and May Day Parade

Vaasa Veteran Car Society’s May Day Drive is for everyone and the whole family!

Participating veteran cars gather at Prisma Liisanlehto (Elementtitehtaantie 1, Vaasa), in the front yard parking lot from 10 to- 11:45 a.m. Departure is at 11:45 a.m. See attachment 1.

Welcome all veteran drivers.

Driving route:
Prisma – Kanavasillantie – Vanha Vaasa – Huutoniementie – Kuninkaantie (via Huutoniemi church) – Sepänkyläntie – Meijerikatu – Sairaskodinkatu – Sepänkyläntie – Vaasanpuistikko – Raastuvankatu to the swimming hall – Rantamaantie (those returning to Prisma will continue on Rantamaantie and turn right onto Yhdystie) – Ruutikelarintie – Huutoniementie – Sairaskodinkatu – Opistokatu – Myllykatu 18, Vaasa Car and Motor Museum.

Driving directions:
Traffic rules must be followed! Keep a short distance to the driver in front so that other vehicles will not enter the parade line and it does not stretch.
In the city centre, traffic is directed to allow veteran vehicles to drive without interruption at intersections. All traffic lights along the route flash yellow.

The driving route is marked with signs and indicates the driving direction with an arrow.

At the museum:
Vaasa Car and Motor Museum opens on May Day. Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Coffee, sweet buns, drinks, sausage and other refreshments are served.
All three floors of the museum are open to explore.

Museum ticket, €10/person. Children under 12 accompanied by their parents without an admission fee.
Free entry for holder of the SAHK/Vaasan veteraaniautoseura membership card.

The season ends with a yard sale organised on Saturday, 14th of September, starting at 8 a.m.. Excellent stand areas are available and visitors have a good opportunity to find parts for their vehicle at competitive prices.
